Job Position: Marketing - Brand Identity Designer- Hybrid

Location: Nashville, TN

Duration: 06 Months Contract

Payrate: $28/ hr on W2

Schedule: M-F 8-5 - 2-3 days per week and for meetings as needed

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain graphic design, brand standards while subsequently ensuring that the work adheres to a high level of excellence.
  • Utilize design resources and follow guidelines across the organization.
  • Collaborate on architecture and visual identity systems with manager, clients and stakeholders.
  • Create visuals for executive-level presentations that communicate a variety of viable options that are well thought out and strategic.
  • Synthesize complex data into consumable and easy to digest visuals.
  • Review environmental designs, including signage for adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Understand the strategies and priorities of multiple areas of the business and use that understanding to explain how their design solutions can enhance the clients’ business objectives.
  • Assess and evaluate existing systems to implement and recommend improvements.
  • Be able to gather reference and notes quickly, to spec, and keep them organized.
  • Assist vendors, development teams or other business teams when appropriate.
  • Stay current with design industry trends and be knowledgeable with basic design principles.
  • Follow guidelines for file organization and naming conventions.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently to problem solve while also working with a team for collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in Photoshop – product and visual mockups, photo retouching/editing
  • Proven branding experience – how does the brand look and show up over multiple, real-world examples and formats like print, digital, etc
  • Experience with Merchandise and product design experience with brand identity, identity systems, brand architecture and creating compelling pitches and presentations.
  • Would really like to see lots of branding/logo work in the portfolio examples. 
  • Would not consider UX experience a plus for this position.
  • College graduate, or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of design and brand identity experience.
  • Link to a digital portfolio required
  • Design tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
